Coloured Diamonds Guide
Lab grown diamonds are graded in the same way as natural coloured stones.
Their colours range from Fancy Light to Fancy Vivid Deep across pink, blue, green, yellow and champagne diamonds.
As one of the 4C's, the colour of a diamond will be noted on the IGI or GIA certificate.
Pink Diamonds
Pink diamond colours range from Fancy Light (very pale pink or lilac) to Fancy Vivid Deep (almost red or purple).
Yellow Diamonds
Yellow diamond colours range from Fancy Light (very pale yellow or green) to Fancy Vivid Deep (almost orange).
Blue Diamonds
Blue diamond colours range from Fancy Light (very pale blue or light grey) to Fancy Vivid Deep (dark blue or almost turquoise).
Brown/ Champagne Diamonds
Blue diamond colours range from Fancy Light (very light brown and champagne) to Fancy Vivid Deep (dark brown).
Orange Diamonds
Orange diamond colours range from Fancy Light to Fancy Vivid Deep (ambe,dark orange and almost brown).
